Mary J. Blige is one of the defining voices of the contemporary music era. With a track record of eight multi-platinum albums, nine Grammy Awards (plus a staggering 32 nominations), a 2012 Golden Globe nomination, and five American Music Awards, Blige is a global superstar and she’s bringing that overflowing talent to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Friday, February 24, 2017.
Born in the Bronx, Mary J. Blige began moving people with her soulful voice when at 18 she signed with Uptown Records.  She brought her gritty, urban-rooted style – fusing hip-hop, soul, and honest lyrics – to the forefront on her debut album What’s the 411?  Blige helped redefine R&B and began forging a unique niche for herself on the more personal second album, 1994’s My Life. Blige is an artist that uses her gift of song to lift spirits and touch lives while bringing her heart, soul and truth to those who are willing to listen. She is loved for her passionate, chart-topping hits like “Be Without You”, “Not Gon’ Cry,” “No More Drama” and “Family Affair” all of which have made her a force in music.
Blige, who co-penned “I Can See in Color” for 2009’s Precious soundtrack, has branched out into acting. She appeared in Tyler Perry’s dramatic comedy, I Can Do Bad All By Myself in 2009 and starred in Rock of Ages, alongside Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin in 2012. Blige has guest-starred on the ABC comedy, Black-ish and the FOX musical drama Empire and most recently, starred as Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West on the NBC musical, The Wiz LIVE!
In 2014, Mary J. Blige released her 13th studio album, The London Sessions, which reached the No.1 position on the Top R&B Albums chart and included a behind-the-scene documentary of her recording sessions that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2015.

Lauded by critics and fans alike, the multi-artist Experience Hendrix Tour is set to return in 2017 to celebrate the music of Jimi Hendrix, long hailed as the genre’s greatest innovator.  This latest edition of the annual tour will be the most ambitious to date and it will be making a stop at the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Friday, March 3, 2017.

Now in its second decade, the tour celebrates the musical genius of Jimi Hendrix by bringing together a diverse array of phenomenal musicians, ranging from blues legend Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde (from Black Label Society / Ozzy Osbourne), Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jonny Lang, Dweezil Zappa, Chris Layton (from Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble), Mato Nanji (from Indigenous), Noah Hunt (from Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band), The Slide Brothers, Ana Popovic, and Henri Brown will also be featured among many others. Billy Cox, bassist for both the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys, anchors a rhythm section that provides the foundation for exciting renditions of numerous signature Hendrix favorites such as “Purple Haze” and “Little Wing.”

2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the Jimi Hendrix Experience’s debut album Are You Experienced (released on May 12, 1967) as well as the follow up album Axis: Bold as Love (released in the UK on December 1, 1967). 1967 was also the year Jimi Hendrix rose to intercontinental prominence, when he made his U.S. debut at the Monterey International Pop Music Festival, lighting his guitar on fire before a mesmerized audience. The repertoire from this stage of Jimi’s career serves as a cornerstone in Experience Hendrix Tour sets, as songs like “Fire” and “Are You Experienced” are played by various musicians on a nightly basis.

With over 500 songs to his credit including “My Way,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” and the theme from “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” Paul Anka is one of North America’s most cherished singer-songwriters.  A polished and confident performer, Anka has entertained millions and now he’s bringing his showmanship to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on March 4, 2017.

Born in Canada in 1941, Paul Anka started his own vocal group, The Bobbysoxers, when he was just 13 years old.  In 1956, he convinced his parents to let him travel to Los Angeles, a trip that resulted in his first single.  The following year, Anka had his first hit, the enormously successful “Diana.”  “They are all very autobiographical,” says Anka of his early hits. “At record hops, I’m up on stage and all these kids are holding each other with heads on each other’s shoulders. Then I have to go have dinner in my room because there are thousands of kids outside the hotel — ‘Put Your Head on My Shoulder’ was totally that experience.”

By the ‘70s, the success of “My Way” and a string of hits like “(You’re) Having My Baby” confirmed his status as an icon of popular music. His later achievements as a recording artist included “Hold Me ‘Til the Morning Comes,” a hit duet with Peter Cetera in 1983 and Body of Work, a 1998 duets album that featured Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Patti LaBelle, Tom Jones and daughter Anthea Anka. In 2009, the world discovered that Anka co-wrote Michael Jackson’s posthumous #1 worldwide hit, “This Is It,” which has further cemented his place upon the most prolific and versatile songwriters of any generation.

In 2005 and 2007, Anka released two albums – Rock Swings and now Classic Songs, My Way – which ingeniously featured songs originally created by some of rock’s biggest performers.  In April 2013, Anka released his New York Times Bestselling autobiography, published by St. Martin’s Press, entitled My Way and in 2014, Anka saw the release of a song he co-wrote with Michael Jackson entitled “Love Never Felt So Good” off of Jackson’s album Xscape.  As lead song off of Jackson’s CD and it’s first single, it has received massive radio, sales, and critical success and reached #1 in over 50 countries.

With one of the most in-demand concert outings of the year, music legend Brian Wilson is extending the final performance run of his Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour and is announcing a stop at The Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, March 18th to celebrate and perform the iconic album Pet Sounds for a final time.

“There were so many cities onthis great tour that myself, my band, Al, and Blondie just couldn’t get to playing,” says Wilson. “We’re performing more shows than ever before and the fans keep asking for more! It’s been a real trip so far and I’m happy that we’ll have the chance to reach so many people that weren’t able to catch our shows this year.”

Last year found Wilson and his band, joined by former bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, performing 99 shows to captivated audiences in sold out venues all over the world. Garnering critical acclaim and marking a true return to form, Wilson continues to deliver a live performance of Pet Sounds in its entirety, as well as top hits and fan favorites spanning his 54-year career with The Beach Boys and as a solo artist. Universally hailed as a writer of one of the greatest American songbooks, Pet Sounds has reigned atop countless critic and fan polls, and has maintained its timeless rank as one of popular music’s most-cited influences.

In 1965, with the Beach Boys out on tour, Wilson began session work on some of the most deeply personal recordings of his career. Inspired by The Beatles Rubber Soul, he challenged himself to create an immaculate musical masterpiece. A vast departure from the bands’ then commercial sound, the resulting “concept album” Pet Sounds achieved great critical success helping usher in a new musical landscape.

Wilson began his career as a teenaged founding member of The Beach Boys, who signed with Capitol Records in July 1962 and released their first album, Surfin’ Safari, that same year. The band’s initial surf-rock focus was soon broadened to include other themes. Wilson’s innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements for major hits including “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “God Only Knows,” and the No. 1 smash “Good Vibrations” made The Beach Boys America’s preeminent band of the 1960s.

Wilson has also achieved great solo success with 11of his own albums released to date, including his acclaimed 2004 completion of an album he first began recording in the ‘60s, Brian Wilson Presents… SMiLE.  The album earned Wilson his first GRAMMY® for a recording, which
was followed by his second GRAMMY® win for producing The Beach Boys’ acclaimed 2011 release, The SMiLE Sessions. With his own band, Wilson has performed major, sold-out tours in recent years, and with The Beach Boys, he celebrated the iconic band’s 50th anniversary in 2012 with a major international tour and acclaimed studio album, That’s Why God Made The Radio.
In 2015, Wilson released his latest solo album No Pier Pressure (Capitol) and was the subject of the critically acclaimed, award-winning biopic Love & Mercy. The culmination of these projects produced Wilson’s first Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song (Motion Picture) for his song “One Kind Of Love” featured in the film.

Brian Wilson is a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and a U.K. Music Hall of Fame inductee.  As a member of The Beach Boys, Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and honored with The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.

Launching its highly anticipated collaboration with a bang, Golden Boy Promotions and ESPN today announced the card for the first broadcast of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN, featuring rising prospects, former world champions and former Olympians. ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes will broadcast the fights live from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California starting at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT.

"When we signed this historic agreement with ESPN, we promised the best prospects and contenders in Golden Boy's stable would not just appear, but face solid competition - our opening card makes it clear that we will fulfill that promise," said Golden Boy Promotions Chairman and CEO Oscar De La Hoya.

Topping the card, Irish amateur standout and middleweight contender Jason "El Animal" Quigley (12-0, 10 KOs) looks to continue his meteoric rise up the division with his third consecutive step-up fight against the hard-punching Glen "Jersey Boy" Tapia (23-3, 15 KOs) in a 10-round battle for the vacant NABF middleweight title.

"2017 is going to be a big year for me, and I can't imagine a better way to kick it off than by headlining the first edition of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN," said Quigley, who is coming off victories over contenders Jorge Melendez and James De La Rosa. "Glen Tapia has faced some of the best in the middleweight and super welterweight divisions, but I am excited to show a huge audience what I'm capable of in the ring."

"I've been in Quigley's position before, so I know exactly what he's feeling. He's trying to prove himself and he's looking at me like his step up," Tapia said. "At the end of the day, because of my last performances, I feel like I really don't have the privilege to speak on what I'm going to do, but just know that I'll be more than ready to show Quigley and the boxing fans that I am more than just a step up."

In the co-main attraction, Coachellahometown hero Randy "El Matador" Caballero (23-0, 14 KOs) will launch his campaign to become a two-division world champion when he goes head-to-head with Victor "Pitufo" Proa (28-2, 21 KOs) in a 10-round super bantamweight affair.

"I am so happy to be coming back to the ring, and to do so in front of my hometown fans and on ESPN - I couldn't ask for anything more," Caballero said. "I know Proa will be hungry and looking to get back into the winner's column, but I am going to show everyone that I am back and better than ever."

Hoping to make the TV broadcast, 2012 Olympic Bronze medalist and highly decorated amateur Marlen Esparza will make her professional debut against a fighter to be announced in a four-round flyweight fight.

Two additional fights of the card will be live streamed on ESPN3, and available in English and Spanish.  Former interim world champion Mauricio "El Maestro" Herrera (22-7, 7 KOs) will be in action against rugged veteran Hector "Charro Negro" Velazquez (57-28-3, 39 KOs) in an eight-round welterweight showdown. Herrera, who has been on the short side of controversial decisions to a number of world champions, will return to his Southland roots looking to get back into title contention.

Also, Azat "Attack" Hovhannisyan (10-2, 9 KOs) will look to build on a four-fight winning streak when he faces off in an eight-round super bantamweight fight against Hugo "Olimpico" Partida (21-8-2, 16 KOs). Opening up the card, highly regarded prospect and local Indio resident Saul Sanchez (2-0, 1 KO) will appear in a four-round bantamweight battle against an opponent to be named later.

Musicians and critics all over the world have dubbed Paul Rodgers “The Voice”. Paul Rodgers first shot up the international radio charts and onto the music scene in 1970 with his rock anthem “All Right Now” with Free. Their unusual combination of blues, ballads and rock won them worldwide praise and an international following that continues today.

For his third act, Rodgers teamed up with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page in 1984 to form the supergroup The Firm. Both Firm world tours were top grossing tours and their albums The Firm and Mean Business enjoyed international success producing the hits “Radioactive”, “Satisfaction Guaranteed” and “All The King’s Horses”.

As a Grammy nominated solo artist, Paul Rodgers has worked with Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Charlie Watts and blues great Buddy Guy to name a few.  He’s a tireless musician and entertainer and is looking forward to bringing it all to his fans in the Coachella Valley.

KENNY LOGGINS

Tickets: $69, $49, $39 on sale 11/25

Kenny Loggins' remarkable four-decade-plus career has brought him from the top of the charts to the toast of the Grammys. He's had smash hits on Hollywood's favorite soundtracks, has rocked worldwide stages, and has found his way into children's hearts, and he’s bringing his smooth, beautiful voice to The Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on April 7, 2017

Kenny Loggins, was born in Everett, Washington, and moved to the Los Angeles area as a young child, where he began singing and playing guitar in high school.  In 1977 he struck up a friendship with Stevie Nicks and he credits their duet “Whenever I Call You Friend” as “the moment that launched my solo career.”

In the 1980s, Loggins also earned a new title: king of the movie soundtrack. Film producer Jon Peters called him in to see a rough cut of Caddyshack, and Loggins provided the cult classic's smash "I'm Alright." When a pal asked Loggins to write a few songs for an as-yet-unmade picture called Footloose, he whipped up a No. 1 blockbuster: "I had a little up-tempo thing I'd been messing with that I probably wouldn't have written if it hadn't have been for the movie," Loggins says. He scored a track on Tom Cruise's Top Gun ("Playing With the Boys") and performed that movie's indelible hit "Danger Zone."

Since 2010, Loggins has also been onstage with a country trio, Blue Sky Riders, which features Nashville powerhouse Gary Burr and gifted vocalist and singer/songwriter Georgia Middleman. "I figured the most logical place to write a heartbreak album was Nashville, so I took my journals there," Loggins says. "When Gary and I sang together, we sounded like brothers. The last time I experienced that kind of blend was with Jimmy Messina in 1971."

Though he's got 12 platinum albums, a pair of Grammys, and hits on almost all the Billboard charts under his belt, Loggins is far from done. Last month, he debuted his all-new original children’s book Footloose and he's still looking forward to what's next. "I feel very lucky that this is the way I make my living, and not a lot of people can say that," Loggins says. "I've been lucky that I love what I do and I get to keep doing it."

Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford and their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited have taken on a startling life of their own. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rhythm section (bass and drums respectively) from the legendary group Creedence Clearwater Revival launched the Creedence Clearwater Revisited project in 1995 to once again perform live Creedence Clearwater Revival hits such as “Proud Mary,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Down On The Corner” and they’re bringing the tour to the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, April 8th.

Since its formation, the reaction to Creedence Clearwater Revisited’s concerts has been astounding and driven in part by a generation of kids who, as Cosmo says, “weren’t even born when the music came out.” Having now toured North America, South America, Central America, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia, knocking out audiences with astounding concerts jam packed with songs that are still a staple of radio and movie soundtracks, Creedence Clearwater Revisited has come a long way.

As fans who have experienced a Creedence Clearwater Revisited concert can attest, Stu and Cosmo found the right players. The newest touring member of the band is lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dan McGuinness.  The purity, power and range of Dan’s soaring voice hits right to the heart.  Lead guitarist Kurt Griffey has recorded and toured with top musicians including members of the Eagles, Foreigner, the Moody Blues, Lynyrd Skynryd, and Journey. Talented multi-instrumentalist Steve Gunner rounds out the group. As Cosmo puts it, “Gun provides live all the overdubs that were on the records. He plays keyboard, acoustic guitar, percussion, harmonica and sings the high harmonies.” Stu and Cosmo and their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited add a new chapter to their legacy with vibrant and exhilarating energy and pure American spirit.

David Crosby, two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and co-founder of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash, is heading out on tour this Spring and he’s going to be stopping at The Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Friday, April 21st.

David Crosby co-founded The Byrds in 1963 and soon had a string of smash hits including “Eight Miles High,” “Turn! Turn! Turn!” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man.”  The Byrds’ signature electric folk-rock influenced countless musicians to come.  Crosby then left The Byrds in 1967 to embark on a lifelong collaboration with Graham Nash and Stephen Stills.  Renowned for vocal harmonies and stellar musicianship, Crosby, Stills & Nash were honored by the Grammy Awards in 1969 as Best New Artist.

Now, in the midst of an incredibly creative and powerful period of his career, David Crosby is once again headed out on the road with his David Crosby & Friends Tour.  Joining him will be five musical friends: James Raymond on keyboard, Mai Agan on bass, Steve DiStanislao on drums, Jeff Pevar on guitar and Michelle Willis on keys and vocals.  The whole band will be showcasing Crosby’s skills as a brilliant songwriter and playing music from his recent solo album Croz and the soon-to-be-released new album Sky Trails.

Crosby is also the author of three books including Stand and Be Counted: Making Music, Making History/The Dramatic Story of the Artists and Causes That Changed America which underscores his commitment to social activism. MIGUEL BOSÉ

Miguel Bosé has been a force in Latin music with a career that has spanned dozens of albums and film roles, his own television show, and work as a theater director and now he’s set to bring his captivating stage show to The Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, April 22, 2017.

The son of an actress and a bullfighter, Miguel Bosé grew up in the arts with Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway among his family friends.  He often traveled between his homeland of Panama to Milan, New York, and Paris and at age 21 he began his singing career.

Miguel Bosé scored his first hit in 1985 with "Bandido." A year later, he signed with Warner Brothers Records, which led to more introspective albums like Salamandra which was followed by XXX, Los Chicos No Lloran, and Directo '90, a live compilation of many of the Bosé’s hits. In 1993, Bosé's music moved into a more political vein with the release of his first platinum album Bajo el Signo de Cain which addressed such issues as ecological concerns and aspects of his stardom. With an increasingly powerful international profile as a singer and actor, he released Laberinto in 1995 followed by 11 Maneras de Ponerse un Sombrero in 1997 and, in 1999, a greatest hits album called Lo Mejor de Bosé.

The awards came flooding in for Miguel Bosé with the release of 2002's Sereno, which won him a Latin Grammy for Best Male Pop Performance. 2005's Velvetina saw him stepping outside the box to experiment with electronic dance-pop (even the cover was a clear homage to Kraftwerk). In 2007, celebrating 30 years in the business, he made the album Papito, where numerous stars of Latin music -- including huge names like Juanes, Shakira, Ricky Martin and Laura Pausini -- joined him in re-recording duet versions of some of his biggest hits.
Defying the contemporary formula for pop success, Miguel Bosé’s music has been described as a global fusion of many influences. He’s sold over 30 million records worldwide and last year he recorded an MTV Unplugged album with guests including Juanes, Natalia Lafourcade and 2 members of Mana among
